A few simple stitches.

  1. Make two cuts. Choose a dashed seam between letters in two different words. Each side of a cut needs at least one letter.
  2. Trade the endings. Everything to the right of the cuts swaps places. The beginnings stay in their rows. No letters are reversed.
  3. Keep both words real. The preview tells you whether both new words are in the word bank. Select “Exchange endings” to commit.
  4. Solve the clues. Match all three words to their own clues. Even a solved row can take part in another exchange.

Undo and restart are always available. Aim for the fewest exchanges, or take your time finding your way.

Keyboard: Tab between controls, Enter or Space to choose. Use arrow keys within a word’s seams. Escape clears your cuts.
